Having lived in Braga for most of our lives
We will add a little of our personal experience to the centuries of rich history our city is famous for. More than 2000 years ago, the Romans have called it "Bracara Augusta".
You might have heard the expression "Braga is the Portuguese Rome". We believe it’s quite the contrary, "Rome is the Italian Braga"... Wink!
Known as the city of Archbishops
Braga receives excellent quality produce from all around the region, a fertile landscape riddled with rivers and hills. Plus, being so close to the Atlantic shore, we have the privilege of the freshest fish and seafood, combined with fine meats from the Portuguese Highlands.
